Welcome to the forum! Concur it's an M&P 1905 4th Change. The S&W Standard Catalog puts the serials 241704-700000 between 1915 and 1942. Not a lot of help. They weren't made at an even x-number per year, so extrapolating your serial in that range isn't going to be exact. If the production was relatively linear then I'd guess 1928- ish.The serial number is 3228 which is stamped above the model number on the side of the frame.
